Last night was tough for hubby. He hit a temp of over 39. His teeth were chattering like I have never seen. I went and got a bag of ice cubes and made him put it behind his neck and under his arm pits. He hated it - but we got the fever to break in about an hour. He woke up this morning and claimed that he "could eat a horse" - he was so hungry. I told him to slow it down. But he seems to be doing okay. Me? Just sore stomach muscles, ha.
congratulations
Hubby called me out from bed this morning to tell me that we were parents. Last night the finches were going nuts trying to build a nest. I put some nesting material in there, and they whipped up a nest quick - and of course we wake this morning to an egg. Jezzzzz - anyone want a bird? I can send it UPS. Ha.

awww poor Kevin! Hopefully the little eggs hatch. The finches in the classroom lay eggs, but then end up just pushing them out of the nest and nothing comes of them! Lol maybe you will have nicer ones that want their little babies!

I know exactly what you are going thru right now.. today is the first day that I feel somewhat back to normal. The funny thing that helped me? Sucking on candy canes. The peppermint helped calm my stomach... although I dont think its on my 'healthy food' list anywhere! LOL

I cant wait to see what 2008 brings us... hopefully into a size 9 huh?? LOL

I'm caught up!
So sorry to hear you and hubby have been going through the flu. I've only ever had birds once in my life and they were finches too. Not as squawky and screechy as some birds! The bird house & cage look great! Congrats on the new egg too!

I'm glad the card arrived in the mail.. and I look forward to whatever it is that you're sending. It's not often I get something with a Canadian stamp on it! I think I've purchased eBay items from Canada though.. a while ago.

I hope you and hubby are fully recovered soon. Oh! The photo's are great.. and glad you enjoyed your Christmas :-)
